Biography
Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, also credited as Srdjan Mimica, is a Croatian director and former assistant director. He is the son of film director Vatroslav Mimica and appeared as a child actor in several of his father's films.
From 1993 to 2004 he served as first assistant director on Steven Spielberg films including Schindler's List (1993), Saving Private Ryan (1998) and The Terminal (2004). He shared Directors Guild of America awards for outstanding directorial achievement on Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan.
He has directed multiple episodes of television series, including six episodes of Battlestar Galactica (2004–2006), episodes of Prison Break (2005–2006) and Heroes (2008–2009), all eight episodes of the miniseries The Pillars of the Earth (2010), and episodes of The Witcher and For All Mankind.
