Biography
Walt Disney was an American film producer, animator and voice actor. Born Walter Elias Disney on 5 December 1901 in Chicago, Illinois, he co-founded Walt Disney Productions with his brother Roy O. Disney. He created the character Mickey Mouse and provided its voice in early shorts and in the segment 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' in Fantasia (1940).
Disney produced the first full-length cel-animated feature Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), followed by Pinocchio (1940), Fantasia (1940), Dumbo (1941), Bambi (1942) and Cinderella (1950). He received 22 Academy Awards. Disney died on 15 December 1966 in Burbank, California.
