Biography

Frank Welker is an American actor specialising in voice work. Born in Denver, Colorado, he attended Santa Monica College, where he studied theatrical arts.

He is known for voicing Abu, the Cave of Wonders and Rajah in Aladdin (1992). Welker has voiced Fred Jones in the Scooby-Doo franchise since 1969 and Scooby-Doo himself since 2002. Other credits include Megatron and Soundwave in the Transformers franchise, Garfield in The Garfield Show, and numerous animal vocal effects. He received a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award in 2016.
