Biography
David Bradley is an English actor. Born in York in 1942, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and began his career on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.
He is known for playing Argus Filch in the Harry Potter films (2001–2011), Walder Frey in Game of Thrones (2011–2017), and for his voice role as Fowler in Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget (2023). Other film credits include Hot Fuzz (2007), Allelujah (2023) as Joe Colman, and Frankenstein (2025) as the Blind Man.
Bradley received a Laurence Olivier Award in 1991 for his supporting role in King Lear at the Royal National Theatre and a BAFTA TV Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2014 for Broadchurch.
