Biography
Lindy Hemming is a Welsh costume designer. Born on 21 August 1948 in Haverfordwest, she studied stage management and design at RADA. After graduating she worked in London fringe theatre and later with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre, before moving into television and feature films from 1983.
She has designed costumes for films including Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Topsy-Turvy (1999), the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy (2005–2012), the Paddington films (2014 and 2017), Wonder Woman (2017) and Wonka (2023). Hemming won the Academy Award for Best Costume Design for Topsy-Turvy and has received BAFTA nominations and two Costume Designers Guild Awards.
