Biography
Marco Beltrami is an American composer of film and television scores. Born on 7 October 1966 in Long Island, New York, he studied at Brown University, the Yale School of Music and the USC Thornton School of Music.
He is known for scores including Scream (1996) and its sequels up to Scream 7 (2026), The Nun II (2023), Renfield (2023), A Quiet Place (2018), Logan (2017) and World War Z (2013). A long-time collaborator of Wes Craven, he scored seven of the director's films. He has also worked with directors including James Mangold, Guillermo del Toro, Kathryn Bigelow, Bong Joon-ho and John Krasinski.
Beltrami received Academy Award nominations for 3:10 to Yuma (2007) and The Hurt Locker (2008), a Golden Globe nomination for A Quiet Place (2018) and an Emmy Award for Free Solo (2018).
