Biography
Michael Giacchino is an American composer of scores for film, television and video games. Born on 10 October 1967 in Riverside, New Jersey, he has composed music for numerous Pixar features, Marvel Cinematic Universe entries and other major studio productions.
His work includes the scores for Up (2009), for which he received an Academy Award, Inside Out (2015), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), Jurassic World (2015) and The Incredibles (2004). He has also scored the television series Lost, Alias and Fringe, and video games including the Medal of Honor and Call of Duty series. In 2022 he directed the Marvel Studios special Werewolf by Night.
Giacchino has collaborated with directors including J. J. Abrams, Brad Bird, Pete Docter and Jon Watts. Recent credits include IF (2024), Inside Out 2 (2024), The Fantastic 4: First Steps (2025) and Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026).
