Biography

Tessa Ross is an English film producer and executive. She ran Film4 and Film4 Productions from 2002 to 2014, having been designated Head of Film at Channel 4 in 2000. In 2016 she co-founded House Productions with Juliette Howell.

She has served as executive producer on films including Billy Elliot (2000), 127 Hours (2010), 12 Years a Slave (2013), Ex Machina (2015) and Room (2015). As producer she is credited on The Iron Claw (2023), Bird (2024) and Conclave (2024), for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture and a BAFTA Award for Best Film. Ross was appointed CBE in the 2010 New Year Honours for services to broadcasting.
