Biography

Harvey Weinstein is an American film producer. Born on 19 March 1952 in New York City, he co-founded the entertainment company Miramax with his brother Bob Weinstein in 1979. The company produced independent films including Pulp Fiction (1994) and Shakespeare in Love (1998), for which Weinstein received a producer credit and which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.

After leaving Miramax, Weinstein and his brother founded The Weinstein Company in 2005. He has been convicted of rape and other sexual offences.
