Biography

Hans Zimmer is a German film composer and music producer. Born on 12 September 1957 in Frankfurt am Main, he began his career in the United Kingdom before moving to the United States.

He has composed scores for numerous films, including The Lion King (1994), for which he won an Academy Award, Gladiator (2000), the Dark Knight trilogy (2005–2012), Inception (2010), Interstellar (2014), Dune (2021) and Dune: Part Two (2024). Zimmer has received two Academy Awards for Best Original Score, five Grammy Awards and other honours.
